Yohane Chimbalanga
Yohane Chimbalanga is a research services officer responsible for Agriculture and Natural Resources in the National Commission for Science and Technology (NCST) in Malawi. He is currently engaged in transitioning the agency's Rapid Response Team into a Biotechnology and Biosafety Consortium working to use public awareness and diplomatic means to advantage biotechnology in Malawi. He has also assisted in the development of the national biotechnology and biosafety regulatory framework. He previously worked as the Seed Business Development Officer at the Seed Trade Association of Malawi and as Scientific Officer for the National Research Council of Malawi. He holds a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness management from the University of Malawi’s Bunda College of Agriculture and a master’s degree in agricultural economics from Mississippi State University.”
