Our 2019 Global Fellows

Shaimaa Reda

Shaimaa Roshdy Abdullah Reda is a graduate biotechnology student whose love for all creatures – from unseen microorganisms to the largest animals on earth – led her on her scientific journey.

In 2014, she joined the biotechnology program at Faculty of Agriculture-Cairo University, where she studies subjects ranging from molecular biology to social and economic sciences. She also has a one-year diploma in bioinformatics that helped her to discover a new scope of biological information.

She is joining the GLFP to learn more about science in the hopes of one day helping to solve the environmental issues that face the planet. “ I feel pretty sure that the Global Leadership Fellows Program will be a supportive hand to reach our ultimate life goal of ending hunger, enhancing food security and raising the quality of life for all,” she said.
