Mr. Rufai Ahmed Braimah is currently the technical officer of the Food Research Institute (FRI) for the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). He is also the programming assistant for the Ghana Chapter of the Open Forum on Agricultural Biotechnology in Africa (OFAB). Rufai helps coordinate the day-to-day activities of OFAB-Ghana, including building capacity for agricultural biotechnology communication in partnership with the Program for Biosafety Systems (PBS-Ghana), as well as other like-minded agencies and stakeholders—especially those in the agricultural sector and policy makers who can facilitate sound decision-making in relation to biotech crops and food security at large. Rufai is also responsible for communicating activities and information on social media.
