Isobel Edwards
Isobel Edwards was born in London, UK and has recently returned there after four years abroad working in China, France and Switzerland.
She is a research analyst for an environmental finance NGO based in London and focuses on environmental standards in agriculture, bioenergy, hydropower and waste management green bond financing. Isobel has also worked in Geneva on UN climate change and peacebuilding policy and in Paris on renewable energy reporting. She has written a research paper on decentralized renewable energy for peacebuilding and writes regularly for environmental publications. She studied environmental science for her bachelor’s degree and emerging economies and inclusive development for her master’s degree with a focus on gender.
Isobel was motivated to apply for the GLFP because of her interest in the climate change mitigation potential of agricultural biotechnology.
