Daniel Norero serves as a consultant in scientific communication at agricultural biotechnology and food-tech institutions. He has studied biochemistry at the Catholic University of Chile and has worked as a laboratory assistant in plant sciences.

He founded the initiative "Yo Quiero transgénicos" (I Do Want GMOs), a citizen project that aims to demystify and inform about GMOs, with special emphasis on biotech crops in Latin America. Additionally, he has collaborated with columns published by El Definido, LatinAmericanScience, Cornell Alliance for Science, Genetic Literacy Project, Biofortified, CSICOP, and the Chilean Skeptical Association.
